Job is based in Calgary, AB

They are responsible for sales and marketing activities for Premier in Western Canada (British Columbia to Manitoba). Implements our Marketing Plan aimed at expanding broker base for Commercial, Personal and Marine Line products. Supporting the underwriting teams with their goals of high customer satisfaction, revenue growth, and long-term corporate goals.

Specific Responsibilities:

• Responsible for organizing, coordinating, and conducting sales activities, such as visits to insurance brokers office, meetings, and networking events.
• Develop and consistently act on a sales strategy schedule.  Keep record of the visits and contacts
• 3 to 4 days on the road visiting brokers with the remaining 1 to 2 days at the office.  Employee will be equipped with a company car.
• Trips out of province to British Columbia, Saskatchewan and Manitoba- 3 to 4 times a year.
• Sourcing business opportunities and engaging and coordinate with the underwriters.  Facilitating, promoting, and coordinating the development of partnerships between Premier and broker force.
• Organizes and keeps up to date all physical marketing collateral and the company website.  Ensures all branches of the company are stocked with up to date marketing collateral.
• Managing a database of qualified leads/contacts for the purposes of sales visits and promotional activity.
• Maintains accurate records of all sales and prospecting activities including sales calls, presentations, closed sales, and follow-up activities within their assigned territory, including the use of Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Excel to maintain accurate records to maximize territory potential.
• Assists in the implementation of company promotional activities and seminars.  This includes organizing and management marketing material/collateral (advising of shortages etc.).  Booking, planning, and setting up educational seminars in Western Canada..
• Coordinates Premier’s emailing and mailing promotional activity including proofing material for accuracy.
• Demonstrates the ability to gather, submit detailed business information for underwriting, pricing, and presentation of solutions to identified prospects' business problems.
• Adheres to all company policies, procedures and business ethics codes.
• Maintain contact with brokers in the market area to ensure high levels of satisfaction.

Qualifications:

• 5 to 10 years of commercial and personal lines insurance experience.
• Background, experience, and/or knowledge of sales
• Demonstrate ability to interact and cooperate with all company employees.
• Demonstrates technical selling skills and product knowledge in all product areas (Personal, Commercial, Marine and Professional Lines).
• Willingness to travel frequently and independently.
• Experience with Microsoft Office (specifically Microsoft Access, Excel, Word, and Outlook)
• Dynamic personality and willingness to maintain professional appearance and conduct.  Ability to leave a positive impression with brokers.
• Ability to communicate effectively product and company strengths and ability to read situation in order to adjust sales technique (or engage management, underwriting etc.)
